The Twins "TWOur" Golf 2nd Birthday Party

We hosted our twin's 2nd birthday party, and since our family especially loves golf, so we decided to throw them a golf themed birthday  ‘Twins TWOur’ party with lots of PGA tour touches, Happy Gilmore references, and a FUN party hosted at our local golf course.

Let's just get right into it to see everything I did to pull this fun and unique party off.

Golf Themed Birthday Invitation

I have the most talented friend who runs her own small business and I ALWAYS call on her to design party themes that I have in my head. I knew I wanted it to be like a golf & Palm Springs ish theme. I also had the color scheme in mind from the pool & umbrella I got through the Stoney Clover x Target launch! She made such a beautiful design, I could not be happier! I mostly just send a text with the invitation out to our family and friends but I did end up printing a few and paired it with a golf pencil & notebook for a little fun flair.

Food Table Setup Details

The main area that we decorated for food was just outside the bar in the clubhouse. We filled the table with all the golf themed food and drinks. My husband and I love Happy Gilmore so we definitely wanted a big 6 foot Subway sandwich to be the main part of our meal. I had to use these golf tee toothpicks to hold the sandwich slices together. We also knew that the number one drink we would serve would be an Arnold Palmer (part lemonade & part sweet tea) From there we just decided to serve some of the twins favorite snacks and name them after professional golfers.

One of my favorite things I ended up crafting for this party was their own custom chip bags. For this craft I designed a chip bag on Canva. Bought photo paper to print it on and then hot glued it together put the bag of chips inside and finished it off with a fun crimper that I got off of Amazon. I mean could they have turned out more perfect?!?!

The dessert had to be a cake made out of cupcakes so they were easier to disperse. My friends frosted a masterpiece golf course with graham cracker sandtraps. The perfect topper were these adorable small golf carts. (They were also a favorite toy of Tru after the party was over, he is still playing with them).

Decoration Details

I got the color inspiration for this party from a florist that I follow off of Instagram. She put these really beautiful bouquets together that looked traditional but also new agey with blues and purples. Since I am a balloon artist I knew that I wanted to have a big and bold balloon backdrop be the main decoration for the party. For this balloon wall to take place I had to fill my kids ENTIRE bedroom with balloons. Rent a UHaul to get them to the golf course and then install them. It was the most time intensive part of this party, but I do not think it would have looked as amazing without it. I also had a friend loan me their golf cart so that I could trail balloons off the back. I originally wanted to have more balloons hanging from the bounce house, but after setting up the wall and the ones on the golf cart...I changed my mind.

Final Touches

I knew when I found those golf cups with straws that I had to have them for the kids table. They were the perfect touch, and the kids LOVED them. I also wanted each of the kids to have their own golfing visor. I ordered them off of Amazon and then customized them with my Cricut. To round out the tables we spray painted on theme golf tees, found these perfect golf pencils, and then the most beautifully decorated sugar cookies.
